Gaspe - the ride. End if the adventure

Today Alexei took off right after the breakfast, he had to be back in Mass, so he can be at work tomorrow, which means superslabbing 416 miles in one day.
after waiving him good by and wishing him a safe trip, I went back to our room and started to pack my bag in preparation for another day of great riding.
The idea was to cross border with Canada, ride a bit in Vermont's Northern Kingdom and then head to New Hampshire and camp somewher in the White Mountains.
it took me about three and half hours to reach Canada/US border, since I was riding back roads checkpoint was very small with last house on Canadian land about 100 yards away, and gas station on US side even closer to it. crossing took about 3 minutes for official business and then about 10 minutes discussion with CBP officer what roads I should take.
I rode some beutiful backroads of Vermont and even saw this bist
then I entered graet state of  New Hampshire, I definately need to spend more time exploring this place, some really cool roads outh there. a lot of twistoes with no cars on them.

i met these guys on the roads of NH

after covering about 70 miles in US, I have come to realization that I had enoughtn ofrfiding and I missed my daughter a lot, well I missed my wife as well, but she is in London on business trip. anyway long story short I set GPS to go home and few hours later I was parked in the garage and unloadig bike, minutes later my daughter was hugging and kissing me. she is my girl.
total miles travelled 1,688
my tired tiger after the fun trip. bike needs a very good wash
my little girl was very happy to see me

Gaspe - the ride. Days four and five

Day four started very nice and with th perfect view from my tent
We had a quick breakfast, and headed west towards Trois-Pistoles, where we planned to spend another night camping on the beach. The road was not as exciting as previous days, so we had to entertain ourselves

We also stopped at Rimouski to check out the only submarine museum in Çanada, that was interesting

Also weather wasn't very cooperative with us, and it was raining on and off, but we remained optimistic about our plans to camp on the beach as well as to make some fish and scallops soup.
Our camping for the night

Seafood soup anyone.

We woke up to the rain, but it stopped soon, and sounded like a good idea to fix a quick breakfast, well it was a mistake. It started to rain before we even finished coffee.
We quickly packed our gear, loaded bikes to took off for our next destination Quebec City. On the way we stopped at Fromagerie des Basques, where we bought some smoked cheese, as well some young cheers for lunch.

After few hour on of riding we found a nice place along the river to have our lunch and try cheeses, well and have some SPAM.
Few hour later we arrived into Levis, it is a city a cross the river from Quebec City; it takes 15 minutes ferry ride to get to the QC.
We found small B&B across a street from ferry terminal, which was perfect, after unloading bike and settling into our room we went to explore a bit of the city, both of us previously visited this beautiful place, but it was great to revisit and to take some pictures.

After good walk around the old city and food dinner we took ferry back to Levis.
Tomorrow we well split, Alexei will need to cover 416 miles in Ond day, so he can go to work on Wednesday, and I will take back roads to split my ride into two more days of fun on twisties

after the quick breakfast in the morning  and getting all the gear packed we went for a quick hike to the beach and met Buddah
the views were just incredible
after the quick walk/hike we got on the bikes and rode into the next day of our adventure. we saw beuityful places as we rode.
after riding a litle over two hundred miles we have foud this beutiful canping right on the ocean, as a matter of fact i am writing this blog and listening to the sounf of waves.

Gaspe -the ride. Days zero and one

Day zero wasn't very eventful. I met Alexei at the NH State Liquore store a little after 7:00 pm, we got a bottle of my favorite Tequila -Milagro Anejo and started out ride toward Bangor, ME.
Prior to arrival to our luxurious hotel -Super 8; we also stopped at the gas station to get some gas for tigers as we'll as some beer for us. Quick check-in into hotel, opening beer and some tasty pate with crackers for snack.

Day one starter really good, after the breakfast we loaded our bike and took mandatory group picture

We had about 384 miles to cover in front of us, but decide to avoid interstate and ride some local roads. It was great sunny morning with the beautiful scenery

About 100 mile into the ride someone decided to add some adventure flavore to it and it started to rain on and off all the way to Quebec province, here are few moments from the road

Once we crossed the bridge from New Brunswick to Quebec we still had a hope to  spend a night camping. 10 minutes into the ride very heavy rains started, so we had to adjust our plans. We found decent motel and crashed their for the night. We also went to nearby restaurant to grab some local food and beer, as well as to checkout local views.
For day 3 we will ride from Carleton, QC to Gaspe, QC. We hope the weather is going to be more cooperative with us.
